Click on 'More Information' for Tariffs. Hamilton Cottage is a detached sandstone cottage ideal for couples looking for a rural hideaway. Built in 1823 on the original estate which emcompassed what is now Arabella Holdings, it has traditional charm combined with up to date style and convenience. Set on one level, the cottage comprises a double bedroom, shower room and an open plan living area where there is a modern kitchen. The luxurious leather sofa in the living room converts to a double bed if required. Tastefully refurbished, the cottage's style is clean and contemporary whilst retaining the feel of the traditional cottage at its heart with deep set windows, vaulted wood ceiling and wood floors. There is a controllable electric heating and hot water system. There's also solid fuel central heating with an open fire for those chilly evenings and cosy winter nights. Outside there is a small area of garden leading to a parking/seating area. Adjoining this is a good sized grassed area sheltered by trees where there are a table and chairs for two to relax (barbeque also available). Hamilton Cottage's location in Arabella Holdings means that it is very quiet (apart from the occasional sound of happy hens and their Rooster) with no traffic on the single track roads around it, other than the very few residents of the holdings (this does include a working farm - so there may be an occasional tractor!) High quality bed linen and towels are supplied and you will be greeted with a welcome pack consisting of everything you will need to make yourself at home right away including a fresh loaf of our traditionally slow-fermented, organic home made bread and half a dozen eggs from our own free range, organically kept hens or ducks (depending on your preference!). Change over day is Saturday. Guests can fly to Inverness from various Airports in England and Scotland, where a car can be hired, or take a bus or train. The owners will collect guests from the bus or train (from Invergordon, Alness or Dingwall) for a charge should this be required. Availability - when checking availability note that changeover day is normally Saturday so all bookings are shown on our calendar as inclusive of 2 Saturdays. Although it may not look like it, there is normally a full 7 day period available in between! If in doubt please do give us a call.
